Learning an instrument as a kid is enriching, gratifying, and deeply focusing. I enjoy guiding young students to express themselves through music while celebrating each accomplishment they reach along the way.

I’ve worked with many kids over the years, some as young as 3 or 4, and I believe that patience, consistency, and sensitivity are keys to fostering musical growth over time. Lessons are designed to meet each kid where they are, appreciating their individuality while providing steady guidance and encouragement.

Lessons reflect a clear practice structure, with written notes on what to practice and how to approach practicing. In each lesson, we focus on a few key points that carry over into the student’s practice and the following lesson, ensuring continuity and steady, meaningful progress. I also introduce technical exercises, as well as music reading and music theory, intentionally integrating them into lessons.

For students who are interested, we also work on improvisation and composition.

Feel free to get in touch with me to set up a lesson.
